Daily News is an American morning tabloid newspaper founded in 1919 as the Illustrated Daily News, later known as the New York Daily News. It also published a large number of political and social intrigue stories, including the Teapot Dome Scandal and the romance between Wallis Simpson and King Edward VIII that led to his abdication.
