About Entertaiment
The art of entertainment has a long and varied history. This collection reflects a rich cross-section of its various forms, from the familiar genres of motion picture and television to books and music. It also reflects the way that entertainment has become a major source of income for many individuals, and even entire families.
Despite economic pressures, the entertainment industry has shown an extraordinary capacity to adapt and continue to offer innovative and entertaining products and services. Many independent recording artists, film directors and producers have thrived during these times of economic hardship.
Entertaiment is derived from the Medieval Latin intertenere and tenere, the prefix inter meaning “inside,” and the suffix -tene referring to stretching, as in a rubber band or stretch marks on skin.
